Dr. Akhter Ahsen is best known in contemporary psychology for his pioneering work in the scientific and clinical study of mental imagery in general and the Eidetic image in particular. Dr. Ahsen, acknowledged worldwide as the leading theorist and practitioner in imagery, has authored 30 books and numerous articles on imagery, is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and editor of the prestigious scientific Journal of Mental Imagery. He is founding Chairman of the International Imagery Association and Chairman of the American Imagery Conference. In private practice, Dr. Ahsen is Director of Research and Training at the Image Institute in Yonkers, New York.
